If you are wanting to work in the Real Estate industry as a new Agent in Washington State, you should accumulate $1500 to get started. Here is the cost broken down, from the time you take a pre-licensing course, to getting your license, and joining a company.1. You pay to start your training ($160-$335).
2. Over the course of several weeks , by the time you graduate, you'll need to take your licensing exam immediately while the information you gained is still fresh in your mind. That will cost you ($138.25) to take the State licensing exam. If/when you pass the exam successfully, you then need to apply for your new State real estate license. You will fill out a license application and enclose ($146.25) for a 2 year license which will expire on your birthday.
3. With the license in hand, you now must determine where you want to work. When you make that decision, you have to have about $780 in funds available to pay semi-annual MLS dues in advance ($180), Realtor Affiliation ($400) for a year in advance, and if you choose to work with Connect Realty ($299) a year....
